Go to NotebookLM

Open notebooklm.google.com and sign in with your Google account. It's completely free.

Create a new notebook and upload your document

Click New Notebook. Upload your PDF, Word doc, Google Doc, or paste your text directly. NotebookLM reads it and makes it the only source it works from.

Option A — Use Notebook Guide

Click the Notebook Guide button on the right panel. Select Study Guide — NotebookLM instantly generates a quiz with no prompt needed. Best for a quick general quiz.

Option B — Type a prompt in the chat

For more control, copy one of the prompts above and paste it into the chat box at the bottom. This lets you specify question types, topics, and format.
