OctoPDF

Privacy Policy

OctoPDF processes every PDF and photo entirely on your device. Here's exactly what that means, and what limited data is involved in showing ads.

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Your Files Stay on Your Device

OctoPDF merges, splits, organizes, compresses, scans, watermarks, and converts between images and PDF entirely on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's own PDFKit framework. None of this requires a network connection, and none of it happens anywhere but your device.

Your PDFs and photos are never uploaded to any server. Wasaz AI Solutions does not have a server to upload them to, and never sees, stores, or has access to your files or the documents you create with OctoPDF. Your files are also never shared with our advertising partner or any other third party.

Advertising

OctoPDF is free to use because it shows ads provided by Google AdMob before certain exports — either a short ad or a rewarded ad you choose to watch for an unlimited export. To show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app may collect:

  • Device identifiers, such as the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), only if you allow tracking
  • Approximate location, based on your IP address
  • Usage and diagnostic information, such as ad impressions, taps and app crashes
  • Basic device information, such as model, operating system version and language

This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies. It never includes your PDFs, photos, or anything inside them. Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Daily Free Exports

OctoPDF gives you a small number of free exports each day; beyond that, or any time you'd rather skip the short ad, you can watch a rewarded ad for an unlimited export. This daily count is stored only in your device's local app storage — it is never sent anywhere, tied to your identity, or visible to us.

Your Choices

iOS may ask whether OctoPDF can track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," OctoPDF cannot access your device's advertising identifier and you'll see less personalized ads. Every feature of the app still works either way.

You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you'll also be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

What We Don't Collect

OctoPDF does not require an account, a login, or any personal information to use. We don't operate our own analytics or tracking inside the app, and we don't know who you are, what files you've processed, or what was in them.

Permissions

OctoPDF requests camera access only if you choose to scan a paper document into a PDF, and photo-library add-access only if you choose to save exported pages back to your photo library. Neither permission is required to use the rest of the app — picking existing photos, picking PDFs, and sharing your results need no camera or photo-library permission at all.

The only other permission OctoPDF may request is the tracking permission described above, which is optional. Nothing is accessed in the background.

Files You Create

PDFs you create or edit with OctoPDF are only saved, shared, or deleted when you choose to do so, through the standard iOS file picker, Photos permission, or the share sheet. Any temporary working copies OctoPDF creates while building a preview are removed automatically and are never uploaded anywhere.

Children

OctoPDF is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
