Otterly wipes GPS and device metadata from your photos entirely on your device. Here's exactly what that means, and what limited data is involved in showing ads.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Otterly strips GPS and device metadata only from the photos you select, whether that's one photo or thirty at once. Every photo is re-encoded entirely on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's own ImageIO and Photos frameworks.
Your photos are never uploaded to any server. Wasaz AI Solutions does not have a server to upload them to, and never sees, stores, or has access to your photos or the clean copies you create. Your photos are also never shared with our advertising partner or any other third party.
Otterly is free to use because it shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app may collect:
This data is collected and processed by Google under its own policies. It never includes your photos or their metadata. Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
iOS may ask whether Otterly can track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," Otterly cannot access your device's advertising identifier and you'll see less personalized ads. Every feature of the app still works either way.
You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Where required by law, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you'll also be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Otterly does not require an account, a login, or any personal information to use. We don't operate our own analytics or tracking inside the app, and we don't know who you are, what photos you've processed, or what was in their metadata.
Otterly requests photo library add-access only if you choose to save a cleaned photo back to your library. This permission is never required to use the rest of the app — picking photos and using Share need no photo-library permission at all.
The only other permission Otterly may request is the tracking permission described above, which is optional. Nothing is accessed in the background.
Cleaned photos you export with Otterly are only saved, shared, or deleted when you choose to do so, through the standard iOS Photos permission or the share sheet. Otterly does not keep a separate copy of your photos beyond what's needed to display them while the app is open.
Otterly is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Otterly after a change means you accept the updated policy.
